INTERSOS is inviting applications from qualified and dedicated candidates to fill the following positions in Borno State:
1. Livelihood Project Activity Manager
Location: Maiduguri, Borno State
Project Areas: MMC, Jere, and Mafa LGAs
Reporting Line: Under the supervision of the Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Programme Manager
Role Overview
The successful candidate will lead a six-month consolidation phase focused on transforming ten constructed livelihood facilities into self-sustaining, community-run enterprises backed by clear ownership, governance, and asset management structures.
Key Focus Areas
Coordinate the delivery of livelihood project activities.
Support community ownership and effective management of livelihood facilities.
Strengthen governance and asset management systems.
Promote sustainable community-run enterprises.

2. VSLA Officer
Location: MMC and Jere LGAs, Borno State
Project Areas: MMC, Jere, and Mafa LGAs
Reporting Line: Under the supervision of the Livelihood Project Manager
Role Overview
The VSLA Officer will work to establish and strengthen Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) among members and users of livelihood facilities. The initiative enables tailors, fish farmers, irrigation farmers, and feed mill operators to save funds, access loans, and reinvest in their businesses without long-term dependence on project support.

3. Infrastructure / Irrigation Engineer
Location: MMC, Jere, and Mafa LGAs, Borno State
Role Overview
The Infrastructure/Irrigation Engineer will lead all civil, structural, and electrical works across the project’s livelihood facilities.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Oversee buildings and pump houses.
Manage fish ponds and related civil works.
Direct boreholes and solar power systems.
Handle fencing, drainage, and storage facilities.
Ensure structural safety, durability, and adequate flood protection.
Prepare comprehensive handover and maintenance documentation.
