ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Foundation for Integrated Care (FIC) is inviting applications from dynamic young changemakers across North Central Nigeria for the Youth Engagement in Governance & Policy (YEGP) Fellowship.
This initiative is designed to empower and equip young leaders with the tools needed to:
Meaningfully participate in local and national governance structures.
Effectively engage with government systems and key stakeholders.
Generate, analyze, and apply evidence to influence public policies and budgetary allocations.
Drive social accountability and advocate for improved public service delivery.
TARGET LOCATIONS & QUOTA
A total of 35 fellows will be selected across the North Central region (5 fellows per location):
Benue State
Kogi State
Kwara State
Nasarawa State
Niger State
Plateau State
Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Age: Between 18 and 35 years old at the time of application.
Location: Currently living, working, studying, or actively engaged in one of the 6 North Central states or the FCT.
Background & Interest: Demonstrated involvement or interest in governance, youth participation, civic action, advocacy, community development, or social accountability.
Commitment: Fully available to attend and participate in all required fellowship activities throughout the program duration.
Collaboration: Willingness to work productively with peers, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), community leaders, and government officials.
Action-Oriented: A clear commitment to executing practical, evidence-informed social accountability initiatives during or following the fellowship.
