Key Responsibilities
Technical Support: Conduct regular farm visits to provide hands-on guidance and best practices in poultry farming.
Health & Management Education: Educate farmers on modern breeding, rearing, flock health management, and effective disease prevention.
System Assessment: Evaluate existing poultry production systems, recommending critical improvements in biosecurity, housing, feeding, and waste management.
Training & Nutrition: Organize educational workshops on poultry nutrition, feed formulation, and feed management; develop custom feeding programs aligned with farmers’ goals and resources.
Operations & Financing Support: Monitor daily farm operations, identify areas for improvement, and assist farmers with financial literacy and loan application processes.
Innovation & Documentation: Share up-to-date industry innovations to boost productivity and profitability while maintaining precise records of farm profiles, visits, and training activities.
Curriculum Assistance: Support the Extension Manager in designing training schedules, educational materials, and instructional curriculums.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Animal Science, or a closely related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in agricultural extension services, with a strong preference for poultry farming expertise.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of poultry production systems, animal nutrition, and modern farm management.
Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and farmer-training capabilities.
Digital Literacy: Proficiency in using digital tools and software for accurate record-keeping and data documentation.
Preferred Advantage: Professional certification in poultry farming or agricultural extension services.
