ABOUT THE ROLE
Poiema Consult is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager, Programmes and Delivery to lead day-to-day project management, programme delivery, and stakeholder engagement across complex, multi-partner engagements.
This role requires a professional who combines strong project governance and organizational discipline with practical, hands-on delivery. Working closely with technical and field teams, you will ensure activities remain on track and delivery challenges are effectively resolved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program & Project Governance: Manage project governance processes, maintain comprehensive project documentation, monitor risks, and manage risk logs, project trackers, and governance calendars.
Delivery & Operational Support: Work closely with technical and field teams to drive activities forward, troubleshoot delivery bottlenecks, and support effective programme implementation.
Stakeholder Coordination: Lead and coordinate project activities across multi-partner environments, engaging effectively with corporates, government institutions, NGOs, donors, and other external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Experience: 7 to 10 years of experience in project or programme management.
Sector Background: Highly relevant background in donor-funded programmes, multi-stakeholder environments, or public-private partnership (PPP) settings. Consulting experience is strongly preferred.
Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of coordinating multiple institutional partners, including government agencies, corporates, NGOs, and donors.
Technical & Field Coordination: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and field teams to execute activities and clear operational hurdles.
Methodologies & Tools: Working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Asana, PMI, PRINCE2).
Mobility: Willingness to travel to field and programme locations as required.
