About the Role
Digita is seeking a dedicated Policy Analyst to conduct research, support policy dialogues, and coordinate transformative programs at the intersection of law, technology, and economic development.
In this role, you will contribute to high-impact research and policy initiatives covering Nigeria and other African jurisdictions, with a focus on shaping the digital economy and technology governance landscape across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and regulatory analysis covering digital economy, technology governance, Artificial Intelligence (AI), data protection, cybersecurity, fintech, digital public infrastructure (DPI), and related fields.
Monitoring & Tracking: Track legislative, regulatory, and policy developments across Nigeria and key African jurisdictions.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare high-quality policy briefs, research reports, regulatory updates, concept notes, presentations, and advisory memoranda.
Project & Program Support: Support the implementation and delivery of policy, advocacy, and advisory projects; assist with project coordination, documentation, and reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement: Assist with stakeholder mapping, consultations, workshops, roundtables, and public engagements.
Thought Leadership: Contribute to publications, newsletters, articles, and key knowledge products to drive industry engagement.
Data Synthesis: Collect, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to inform evidence-based policy recommendations.
Growth & Strategy: Support proposal drafting, business development initiatives, and strategic partnership opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, International Development, or a related field.
Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in policy research, legal research, public policy, regulatory analysis, consulting, or development work.
Core Competencies:
Strong interest in digital policy, technology governance, innovation, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable, practical policy recommendations.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with a track record of meeting strict deadlines.
Preferred: Prior experience collaborating with government bodies, development partners, academia, or private sector stakeholders is an advantage.
