Active in Nigeria since 2016, PUI currently delivers vital humanitarian interventions across Borno and Katsina States.
Key Responsibilities
As a Midwife at PUI, you will play a critical frontline role in delivering life-saving health care. Your core duties will include:
Clinical Care: Deliver quality maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services.
Consultations: Conduct thorough antenatal and postnatal consultations, focusing on the screening and identification of pregnancy-related risks.
Delivery Support: Assist with safe deliveries strictly adhering to established clinical protocols and hygiene standards.
Family Planning: Provide expert family planning consultations, confidential counselling, and targeted health education.
Emergency Response: Manage obstetric and reproductive health emergencies in alignment with PUI protocols.
SGBV Support: Identify, support, and care for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence with dignity and confidentiality.
Referral Pathways: Refer patients requiring specialized medical or mental health care and diligently follow up on their clinical outcomes.
Data & Record Management: Maintain accurate patient records, medical prescriptions, and epidemiological data.
Supply Management: Monitor the utilization of medicines and medical supplies while contributing to weekly medical reports.
Public Health Activities: Support vaccination campaigns, disease outbreak responses, medical waste management, and other integrated health initiatives as required.
