Key Responsibilities
Course Delivery & Development: Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses; design and update syllabi, lecture content, assessments, and digital learning assets.
Student Engagement: Maintain an inclusive, dynamic learning environment; offer academic advising, mentorship, and support.
Research & Scholarship: Conduct active research, publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects.
Institutional Service: Participate in departmental committees, programme development, accreditation processes, and student recruitment initiatives.
Pedagogical Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and modern distance-learning methodologies.
Qualifications & Competencies
General Requirements (All Disciplines)
Relevant academic qualifications and professional credentials appropriate to the specific discipline.
Demonstrated passion for teaching, online learning, and student engagement.
Strong research profile or clear evidence of scholarly potential.
Familiarity with modern educational technology and e-learning platforms.
Exceptional written and oral communication, presentation, and collaborative skills.
Specific Requirements for Nursing Lecturer Position
Education: Ph.D. in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) certificate and active license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
Experience: Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level alongside practical clinical/industry experience.
Research: Track record of peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals or conference proceedings.
Professional Engagement: Active membership in recognized academic or professional societies.
