Yiaga Africa’s Watching The Vote (WTV) is a citizen-led election observation initiative dedicated to providing credible, independent, and verifiable information on the electoral process. Ahead of the 2027 General Elections, Yiaga Africa is recruiting experienced, committed, and non-partisan individuals to join its network of Master Trainers in Abuja.
Role Overview
As a Master Trainer, you will play a crucial role in building capacity and shaping citizen-led election observation efforts. The ideal candidate possesses strong facilitation abilities, works comfortably with technology, demonstrates exceptional leadership, and shares a deep commitment to strengthening democratic processes in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate training sessions and deliver WTV observation methodologies effectively.
Maintain prompt, reliable communication and strictly adhere to WTV reporting requirements.
Demonstrate accountability for assigned project funds, materials, and logistics.
Participate fully in all required project events, workshops, and field activities.
Maintain strict political neutrality and non-partisanship across all project stages.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Location: Must be currently resident in Abuja, Nigeria.
Education: Possession of a tertiary education degree or equivalent qualification.
Skills: Strong facilitation, public speaking, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Technology: Basic computer/internet literacy, ownership of a functional mobile phone, and the ability to send SMS.
Civic & Financial Readiness: Must be a registered voter and possess an active, functional bank account.
Professional Standards: Highly collaborative, dependable, detail-oriented, and accountable.
Non-Partisanship: Strict commitment to political neutrality throughout the duration of the engagement.
