Position Overview
Smart Aid Initiative is seeking an experienced, high-caliber Strategic Planning Consultant to lead the development of our inaugural Five-Year Strategic Plan.
The consultant will facilitate an inclusive, participatory planning process—translating organizational vision, priorities, and stakeholder perspectives into a practical, high-impact strategic document designed to guide our next phase of growth and development.
Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities
Facilitate engaging strategic planning workshops and sessions with organizational leadership, board members, and key stakeholders.
Conduct organizational and sector-specific analysis within the NGO and development landscape.
Translate complex stakeholder feedback, ideas, and strategic goals into a cohesive five-year strategic plan.
Deliver a clear, high-quality, and actionable final strategic document suitable for board and operational execution.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience supporting NGOs and development sector organizations with strategic planning.
Track Record: Proven experience successfully completing at least two (2) similar strategic planning assignments.
Facilitation Skills: Exceptional workshop facilitation and strategic leadership skills.
Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of the Nigerian NGO and international development landscape.
Core Competencies: Strong analytical, communication, collaborative, and strategic writing skills.

Financial Proposal / Proposed Consultancy Fee.
Two (2) Writing Samples demonstrating previous strategic planning work and quality of output.
