About the Role
A reputable organization is seeking qualified and safety-conscious candidates to fill the position of Lineman within its Technical Services Department in the Adamawa Region. The successful candidate will carry out construction, maintenance, and repair of distribution lines and associated electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Maintenance: Install, replace, and maintain network assets, including poles, conductors, and transformers.
Fault Resolution: Respond promptly to network faults and power outages as directed by supervisors.
Project Support: Assist with field rehabilitation and expansion projects across the regional distribution network.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and electrical safety protocols.
Field Operations: Execute assigned field duties safely, efficiently, and as instructed by leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications
Candidates must hold at least one of the following qualifications:
SSCE / WAEC / NECO
National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate in Education (NCE)
Trade Test Certificate or Electrical Installation Certificate
Any other relevant technical qualification
Key Skills & Attributes:
Prior experience as a Lineman, Electrical Technician, or similar technical role is an advantage.
Physical fitness with the ability to work comfortably at heights and in challenging field conditions.
Strong working knowledge of electrical safety procedures.
Readiness to operate in a demanding, field-based technical environment.
