📌 About the Role
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Holland is seeking a dedicated and qualified Storekeeper Assistant to support warehouse and stock management activities for its project in Gummi, Zamfara State.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Storekeeper to ensure seamless supply chain, inventory management, and warehouse maintenance following MSF protocols and safety procedures.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
As a Storekeeper Assistant, you will assist with:
Stock & Cargo Handling: Receiving, checking incoming goods against waybills, and preparing, packing, sealing, and labeling outgoing items.
Inventory Control: Updating stock cards, assisting with inventory management, stock-taking, and warehouse deliveries.
Storage & Cold Chain: Properly organizing items for easy tracking and ensuring appropriate storage temperatures, including cold-chain management when required.
Facility & Maintenance: Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, security, and equipment, while carrying out minor maintenance when needed.
Reporting & Compliance: Reporting damaged goods, incidents, or deviations to supervisors and strictly following MSF SOPs and safety procedures.
Operational Continuity: Acting as the Storekeeper when required to maintain uninterrupted operations.
📋 Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Technical Skills
Literacy: Essential basic reading and writing skills.
Numeracy: Sound basic mathematical skills and ability to use basic measuring equipment.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Storekeeper Assistant or in a similar warehouse capacity.
Language Requirements
Hausa and/or Fulfulde (Fulani): Working level is essential.
English: Professional working level is a strong advantage.
Competencies & Skills
Basic understanding of warehouse/stock management practices.
Ability to perform minor equipment/facility repairs (desirable).
Strong teamwork, cooperation, and service orientation.
Results-driven with high attention to quality.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing operational contexts.
Strong commitment to MSF humanitarian principles.
