About Development Delivery Partners (DDP)
Development Delivery Partners (DDP) is a development advisory firm focused on improving health and economic opportunity outcomes for vulnerable populations and underserved communities.
DDP works with governments, philanthropic organizations, development agencies, corporations, and individuals across multiple countries. Using strategic foresight, rigorous data analysis, skilled facilitation, and practical on-the-ground experience, DDP delivers measurable impact.
Role Overview
DDP is seeking a qualified Associate, Knowledge Management and Research to lead the development and day-to-day management of its knowledge management function.
In this role, you will oversee DDP’s internal knowledge base, ensuring information supporting staff and project delivery is properly organized, accessible, and reusable. You will also manage external knowledge products—including research outputs, learning briefs, policy notes, blog posts, and peer-reviewed publications—to strengthen DDP’s visibility, influence, and thought leadership. Additionally, you will provide methodological oversight for selected research projects (particularly quantitative and mixed-methods research) and support the translation of research findings into practical applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Internal Knowledge Management and Learning
Repository Architecture: Design, build, and operate DDP’s central knowledge repository, establishing folder architecture, taxonomy, tagging protocols, naming conventions, and version-control standards.
Adoption & Support: Onboard staff to the repository and provide ongoing guidance to maintain consistent knowledge management standards.
Learning Agenda: Lead the revision and execution of DDP’s learning agenda, translating it into quarterly learning products and tracking completion against agreed targets.
Knowledge Capture: Design and facilitate knowledge-capture processes (e.g., after-action reviews, project debriefs, and lessons-learned sessions).
Documentation & Synthesis: Document lessons learned, success stories, and programmatic insights from active and completed projects for reuse across the portfolio.
Repository Maintenance: Monitor system health, tracking access, usage, gaps, duplication, and outdated materials, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Institutionalization: Establish sustainable standards, workflows, and tools that endure beyond individual projects or staff transitions.
2. External Knowledge Products and Dissemination
Product Management: Oversee the production of external knowledge assets, including learning briefs, technical briefs, peer-reviewed articles, policy notes, research abstracts, case studies, and conference presentations.
Dissemination Strategy: Coordinate dissemination activities to ensure DDP’s evidence and insights reach government, donor, and development partner audiences.
Quality & Editorial Oversight: Ensure all external contributions and outputs meet rigorous editorial and quality standards, packaging research findings for wider accessibility.
3. Technical Research and Methodological Support
Methodological Guidance: Provide technical oversight for research design, implementation, and analysis, with a focus on quantitative and mixed-methods approaches.
Framework Development: Develop and review research protocols, methodologies, frameworks, and analytical tools.
Capacity Building: Provide technical mentorship to project teams to enhance research rigor, quality, and analytical capabilities.
Evidence Gap Identification: Support the identification of priority evidence gaps, research questions, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
4. Strategic Contribution
Strategic Input: Contribute to DDP’s overarching research and knowledge management strategies to increase evidence uptake.
Representation: Represent DDP at relevant conferences, professional meetings, and external knowledge-sharing forums.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Academic Qualifications
Advanced Degree: PhD or Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, International Development, Demography, Social Statistics, or another relevant research-oriented discipline in the health or social sciences.
Professional Experience
Years of Experience: 3–4 years of relevant professional experience in development, research, knowledge management, or a related field.
Knowledge Infrastructure: Demonstrated experience designing and managing knowledge repositories (taxonomy, tagging, and documentation systems).
Research Production: Proven track record of producing high-quality research reports, technical documents, policy briefs, and peer-reviewed publications.
