About the Role
PalmPay is seeking a detail-oriented Call Verification Officer (Hausa) to join our operations team in Ikeja, Lagos. In this role, you will conduct outbound verification calls to customers, confirm information provided during onboarding and loan application processes, and ensure strict compliance with internal verification standards.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Verification: Conduct professional outbound calls to verify customer information and documentation accurately.
Prequalification: Perform prequalification checks based on defined risk and compliance criteria.
Data Logging: Record call outcomes, customer responses, and verification details in internal databases.
Fraud Prevention: Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or potential red flags and escalate them appropriately to supervisor teams.
Compliance & Standards: Follow established verification protocols, maintain precise records, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout every interaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in Hausa. (Non-Hausa-speaking candidates will not be considered).
Location: Must currently reside in Ikeja or its immediate environs.
Experience: 0–1 year of experience in Customer Service, Call Centre Operations, Verification, or a related role.
Tech Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer navigation.
Key Attributes: High attention to detail, strong verbal communication, active listening, and sound analytical capabilities to spot inconsistencies.
